Sock Monkey Underground is a hobby project. It is not a commercial storefront, and we are not selling products through this site. If you join the network, we collect the information needed to send zines, occasional mail, and related email updates. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use this site for ad tracking. If you want your information updated or deleted, email matt@sockmonkeyunderground.com.

2. Information We Collect

If you sign up for the mailing list, we may collect:

• your monkey name or nickname
• your first and last name
• your email address
• your mailing address

If you email us directly, we will also receive whatever information you include in that message.

3. How We Use It

We use the information above to:

• mail physical copies of the zine
• send occasional project or mailing updates by email
• respond to questions, address changes, or deletion requests

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Where It Lives

Mailing list information is stored in a secured Airtable base.

Access to mailing information is limited to the people who need it to run the project.

We may share mailing information with:

• volunteer committee members who are actively helping prepare or send mailings
• postal or shipping providers that need the address to deliver something to you

We may also use service providers that are necessary to deliver the website or related communications. Those providers may process technical data such as your IP address, browser details, or request metadata when you load the site or interact with embedded services.

5. What This Website Automatically Receives

When you load this site, your browser may automatically share limited technical information with hosting or content-delivery providers, including your IP address, browser type, device information, and standard request logs.

This page currently loads third-party resources, including Google Fonts, Tailwind's CDN, and a Google-hosted background image. Those providers may receive technical request data as part of serving those files.

We do not currently run our own analytics or advertising trackers on this page.

6. Your Choices

You can ask us to:

• update your name or mailing address
• remove you from future mailings
• delete your information from our records

7. Children's Privacy

This site and mailing list are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes To This Policy

If we change how we collect or use personal information, we will update this policy and revise the effective date at the top of the page.
